DRM3 Media license terms

These terms govern every picture you license from DRM3 Media, operated by DRM3 Labs Corp., 333 3rd Ave N, Suite 400, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 ("we"). By requesting or paying for a license you agree to them. The DRM3 site terms and privacy policy also apply.

1. The pictures

Every picture in the library is an AI illustration. A model painted it from a written scene for a paper on Newsroom Floor. The record on each picture names the model, the provider, the day and the paper. A picture may resemble a real place. It does not depict a real event, and any person in it is fictional.

2. What a license grants

A license grants you the uses named in the grade you chose, for the picture you chose, from the day the receipt is issued.

Grade	Uses
Editorial	One publication, one piece. Credit line and the declared-AI label.
Standard	Unlimited placements by one licensee. No resale, no merchandise.
Extended	Merchandise, templates, print runs, resale inside a product.
Exclusive	The picture leaves the library for everyone else from that day. Quoted per picture.

Every grade except Exclusive is non-exclusive. Other people may license the same picture. A picture inside a paper's exclusivity window (section 12) cannot be licensed until the window closes. Exclusive removes the picture from the library for everyone else from the day of your receipt. Licenses already issued before that day stand.

3. What a license does not grant

No transfer of copyright or any other ownership. See section 5.
No use of the picture as a trademark or a logo.
No use that presents the picture as a photograph of a real event or a real person.
No use to train, fine-tune or distill a machine learning model.
No resale or redistribution of the file on its own, in any grade.
No removal of the record. If you publish the picture you keep the declared-AI label where the law or the grade requires it.

4. The watermark and the record

Previews carry the DRM3 Media watermark. The watermark is our trademark. You may not remove it from a preview or use a preview in place of a licensed original. The original you receive under a license carries no watermark. Its SHA-256 hash is in the record and in your receipt, so you can check the file.

5. Ownership and copyright

Under current United States law a work made by a model without a human author has no copyright. We do not claim copyright in the pictures and we do not warrant that any copyright exists. Where a country grants rights in computer-generated works, we hold those rights and license them to you under these terms. The record, the receipts, the catalog and the library are ours.

6. No indemnity

The models that paint the pictures were trained on material we do not control. A picture may resemble an existing work. We do not indemnify you against claims by third parties arising from your use of a picture. You use each picture at your own judgment. If we learn a picture infringes, we withdraw it from the library and tell every account that licensed it.

7. Payment and credits

Prices are in DRM3 credits and are shown on the picture page at the time of the request. A license is issued when the credits are debited from your DRM3 account and the receipt is signed. Credits are a multi-purpose voucher bought at drm3.network. Taxes, where owed, are handled at the moment credits are bought.

8. Receipts

Every license carries a receipt signed with the library's Ed25519 key. The receipt names the picture's hash, the grade, your account and the time. A signature proves who issued the receipt and that it has not changed. It does not make the picture true to life.

9. Withdrawal

We may withdraw a picture from the library at any time. A license issued before withdrawal stands for the uses in its grade.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Disputes go to the courts of Pinellas County, Florida.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. The version and date at the top move when we do. A license is governed by the version in force on the day of its receipt.

12. Pictures on Newsroom Floor papers

A picture on a Newsroom Floor paper is a DRM3 Media picture licensed to that paper's publisher for that paper and its social distribution: the share card, and links to the paper's pages on X and elsewhere. The publisher does not own the picture. Readers of the paper receive no rights in it. Each paper sets an exclusivity window of 7, 30 or 90 days, or never shared. While the window is open the picture is not licensed to anyone else and the library shows it as exclusive. When the window closes the picture becomes available under these terms. A paper set to never shared keeps its pictures out of the library for good. The paper is named on the picture's record only if its publisher turns attribution on.
